She is a master trainer for the Arthritis Foundation. She is also a Silver Sneakers instructor. Linda loves to teach a variety of classes and educate her students on the importance of and benefits of regular movement and functional fitness.

Shannon has been an instructor for 10 years. Originally from Hawaii, she has been in the DC area for 17 years but always brings a bit of 'aloha' to her classes. Currently teaching Deep Water Running at Olney and KSAC, she's also taught Water Aerobics and Aqua Spin in the past. Felecia is also known as FLEE. The once Research Biologist is now a 9 year Certified Aquatic Instructor. Even though Flee has Multiple Sclerosis her high energy style of teaching with funky music keeps her students returning session after session because they know they will get a great cardio work out that encourages body toning with lots of fun!
Cheryl is a certified instructor in both shallow and deep water exercise. She has been teaching since 2017, primary at Olney Swim Center. She enjoys music from the 50s, 60s, & 70s and uses upbeat tunes to keep her students moving. Her classes are fun, energetic and guaranteed to get you going.
Betty H. Smith’s passion for excellent posture, excellent alignment and excellent deep breathing is a carryover from her internationally-ranked ultra-running accomplishments Science says these excellent skills result in minimizing injury and maximizing energy. Betty’s expertise is in guiding students to strengthen the heart and burn the fat by rigorous non-stop running in the deep water.

Nancy has taught Water Exercise for 16 years! She is a Therapeutic Recreation graduate from MD., and tries to practice what she preaches! She has been part of The Wellness Network's crew for a long time, and always has a great time with her classes.
Michelle is an aquatics, Aqua Zumba, and dance fitness instructor who is passionate about music, movement, exercise and water (especially the ocean). Janet has been an avid fitness participant for decades, and in 2023, she became a certified Aquatic Fitness Professional, teaching for The Wellness Network. Janet is also certified by ACE as a Group Fitness Instructor and a Senior Fitness Specialist. She finds helping people stay health and active extremely rewarding.

When she isn’t teaching fitness, Janet is swing dancing with her dance partner and husband of more than 30 years. She is a teacher in training with the DC Hand Club. She is also a Boy Scout Leader and has backpacked at Philmont National Scout Reservation in New Mexico and canoed the Atchafalya Swamp In Louisiana at Swamp Base. In addition, she has twice walked the Camino to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia, Spain.
An experienced communications professional, Janet has her B.S. in journalism from Northwestern University and her master’s in organization development and leadership from Saint Joseph’s University.
